At Technetix, we look after your details carefully and we use the requirements of the UK’s Data Protection Act 1998 to govern how we handle your personal information.

This policy describes how we collect, use and look after the information you provide us with when you use the Technetix.com website.


What information do we collect?

When you request information from us, ask someone from Technetix to contact you, place an order through our webshop  or use a Technetix online portal, we will ask you to provide your name, address, email, telephone number, organisation name and address and such other information as is reasonably necessary to deal with your request.

We also collect information on how you use our website to help us develop and improve our website, including details of your domain name and Internet Protocol (IP) address, operating system, browser version, cookie details, how long you stayed on a page, the route you took to navigate through the pages and the website that you visited prior to accessing our site.

We may also ask you to provide other data to us, for example now and again we might ask you to fill in a questionnaire, just so you can let us know how we're doing.


What do we use your personal information for?

We want to better understand what you need from us.  We use your personal information to offer you products and services that we think will suit your business and to attempt to improve your browsing experience. The main uses of your data are:

  • to help provide the Technetix website
  • to enable us to review, develop and improve the products and services
  • to send you details of products and services that we think will be of interest to your business
  • to provide products, services and requested information to you
  • to keep you up to date with developments at Technetix

We hate junk mail as much as you do so it's up to you to decide whether or not you want to receive information from us.


Who do we disclose your personal information to?

We may provide information about you to employees and agents of Technetix to deal with any accounts, products and services provided to you by Technetix or our group companies now or in the future.

We may use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our service and may provide such anonymised aggregate information to third parties, for example partners and advertisers.  These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify you.

We will not pass on your personal information to third parties except in accordance with this policy or where we are required by law to disclose that information.


Transferring information overseas

Technetix has offices in the UK, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Belgium, Ireland, Kosovo and the US; Technetix has representatives in Norway, France and Portugal - it is possible that your details or information collected may be passed to these offices or representatives if we think this may be of benefit to you, particularly where your business is based in one of these countries. 


Cookies

Cookies are small text files saved to your computer which allow us to monitor how many visitors we have to our site and to enable site functionality. As they can record details of a visitor’s use of the site, some people would prefer it if cookies were not used. Information requests

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you at any time, for which we will charge an administration fee of £10.  We will correct any inaccuracies in your information at your request.
